I was listening to Brian Houston’s latest podcast from Hillsong Church in Australia, and he cited a speech Bono gave at the 2006 prayer breakfast. I didn’t remember ever hearing it, so I gave it a listen.

I have always loved U2, and now I know why.

Spend 21 minutes and listen to the heart of God through this man, you will be blessed.

This was well worth the 21 minutes…I am of like mind, and would love our government to tithe even 10% to the poor. That could change the world.

love Bono too, the message was insightful at the least. I remembered my Mom in Charlotte talking at length about judgements that can be brought towards artist, musicians included, and there was a ‘farm-aid’ concert where they spent thier time and money to raise money. What I recall from listening to her, was the importance of the power of celebritiy and the use that God has in it, thanks for posting this today, and drawing up such a great memory for me.

Mom: Now if we could get them to only take 10% from us!

Teresa: Any day I can bring up a good memory is a good day. I seem to be very adept at brining up the bad ones. :)
