There&#039;s a poem my mom used to read to us about the man in the mirror I wish I could share, but there are similarities to your thoughts.  I have often &#039;checked myself&#039; in the mirror because the eyes tell all.  When I worked at PORT, one of the senior counselors would sometimes give a girl a mirror and have them look at themselves and say &quot;I love you.&quot;  It was very difficult for them to do that, sometimes.  But the acceptance of themselves was life-altering.</description>
