Got the same into my main spambox about a week ago. I responded to this to see what happens next. In the response, I asked the sender to communicate in Russian (since they claim to be from Armenia and born in the Soviet era), and also gave a link to my web site. Got back a response without my original text, one that completely ignores everything requested, and not from Armenia but from Louisiana, US. From what is being asked in this email, it seems we are looking at a phishing/identity theft scam. Below is the message with attachments deleted.

Hi my new friend !!! I am very pleased that you responded to my letter.
So, you learn interesting to me, too. I am very pleased this beautiful
event. I do not have a personal computer, so all my letters, I will
write you from Internet cafes.

I would like to know you more. But before that I would like to tell
you a little about me. I am a girl, who is looking for his true love.
I decided to apply to the Internet to find their fortune, a man who
will love and respect me. This is my first contact with a man on the
Internet. I have never appealed to Internet dating in the past.
Therefore, I do not know where to begin a story about me, but I will
try. First, I would like to introduce. My name is Sona. For friends -
just Sonyan. My growth - 1.68 cm, and my weight - 53 kg. I do not
drink alcohol and I do not smoke cigarettes. I do not have brothers
and sisters. I was born on September 9th, 1981. I now 27 years old.
When you born?

I live in is not a big city Alaverdi, which is located in Armenia.
You've heard a lot about my country? Armenia - this is a very small
but very beautiful country. Armenia is rich with beautiful mountains
and many small lakes. In our country live a very kind and good people,
the relationship between people is very noble, as well as in Armenia
since childhood, parents a lot of time to raise children. The most
important quality in the character of the Armenian man is honesty in
relationships to other people. The lies and treachery has never
welcomed in the Armenian families, for the parents of a severely
punish their children. Therefore, I received very good care of her
father (later I will explain to you why!), And most importantly, that
I was able to learn the child is never deceive the people and always
be honest, then everything in life will be.

I would like to tell you a little about my city. Alaverdi, located in
northern Armenia. My city has a lot of cultural and architectural
values. A large quantity of monuments, sculptures, theaters, well, of
course churches. I love my city, because I was born here and lived my
whole life! You tell me about your town? Where do you live? Do you
like your city?

Now, I would like to tell you something about my life. Since its
birth, I had to live without my mother. I never saw my mother as she
died in childbirth. My mother, her name was Marine, was a very
beautiful woman, blond, with blue eyes. Dad told me that he fell in
love with my mother at first sight. My parents met at the hospital
where my mother worked as a doctor - therapist. Pope cold and went to
the hospital. When he saw my mother, he said in the soul =C2=ABTo this
woman I want to be life=C2=BB. Even now, Dad every day looking at photos
Mom. I see tears in the eyes of the Pope. I am very sorry that my life
has never been my mother. I saw my mother only a picture!

My dad, his name Vagan, is highly experienced the death of my mother.
My dad had alone care about me. I very much like my dad and grateful
to him for every day of my life. My dad tried to do everything to
ensure that I grew up a decent woman. I raised in a family of military
man. In Armenia, military people are very serious, strict and
self-men! When my mother died, Dad served in the military part of our
city. My dad profession - the military (Major). But, unfortunately,
now that he can not work in the profession because he now retired
Major General. Now, most of their time, my dad undertakes in the
forest. Now, Dad is forestry. My dad =C2=ABforester=C2=BB. Though my dad get=
s
very little money, he is not going through. According to my dad -
Money is only paper, which we need to survive. Pope likes working in
the forest and it is most important. Dad worked in the woods 5 days a
week. He comes home only on weekends. Dad loves nature. In summer, he
likes to feel the smell of morning grass along the lake shore, looking
at the horizon, hear the rustle of leaves. I remember when I was very
young, every day we went to the forest. Dad told me about the various
plants, flowers, the origin of trees, their age. I have always been
interested in Pope, but at heart, I thought about mom, too. Even now,
when I was a grown woman, it seems to me that the soul of my mom is
always beside me.

When I was 7 years old, I went to school, which was next to our house.
I always liked history. I always wanted to study it. When I was 17
years old, I had to leave school. I came to work in a world where I
had to do everything itself, because dad had a lot of work. I had to
look for work. I go to work, serving in the library. I very much
wanted to come to the university. But me and my dad just was not
money. When I worked in the library, I read a lot of books. And then I
decided to get into university. I am very lucky. I passed all the
entrance exams for =C2=ABexcellent=C2=BB! I came to study in child psycholog=
y.
In doing so, I continued to work serving in the library. I really like
to study the behavior of children. I enjoyed helping children in
situations where they are badly when they need help. My mother was a
psychologist course, too. I think this is my destiny to be a
psychologist.

When I graduated from university, I tried to find a job. But it was
not very easy, because many organizations in Armenia does not want to
get young people to work because they believe that young people just
do not have experience. But after a long search, I decided to call in
kindergarten and offer them my support in the upbringing of children.
Director of the kindergarten, told me that they are happy to take me
to work. I was very pleased. And now 3 years I work kindergartener. I
really like to help children. For children, I like my mom. I love
children. I believe that children are angels who live next to us. In
this life, I am looking for the man who could'm really love and
respect.

At this point I must finish my first letter to you. I hope that you
will not get tired of reading such a big letter! =3D) I wanted to write
a lot of information about me that you were interested. The next time
I will tell you more about myself, about my work, my hobbies and, of
course, the relationship that I am looking for. Please tell me a
little about you. What is your full name? Where you work? How is your
life? I am very interested to hear you. I am very interested in
Internet communication as it is with me first.

I look forward to your next letter to me. Your new friend from Armenia, Sona=
.

P.S. to the letter, I attach some photos of my life. From my picture,
you know that I love. My whole life is depicted in the photo. I hope I am li=
ke you.
Please send me your pictures as well.

I got it too, the same except the email address in the letter was sonazyan@gmail.com not shabsson, and I too googled it. I figure either it's a "russian bride" service or further correspondance would reveal a need for money, perhaps for a plane ticket so she can come visit me. I mean you. I mean Davie.

I got this same e-mail today. (So of course Googled it, which led me here.)

I don't UNDERSTAND what it MEANS! It is spam but it isn't spam to see me anything.

....Why? What is the purpose? Obviously it has to be some kind of scam, but the only thing actually telling about it is that the e-mail it is from and the e-mail in the letter are not the same.

I must put my foot down at a new international friend. How do we know that this is not Sona from overseas, but some fat, over-fifty, unfortunately ugly American man preying on your need for friendship? I hope you didn't send him our address, who knows what he will try to do.

No sneaking out to meet him!
