Emily loves to draw and she really gets into her work.
You should see our walls.
Washable Crayons really are washable.
Permanent markers really are permanent.

24 hours time lapse video of the work going on at ground zero in Manhattan. With all the negativity surrounding this site lately, I thought it might be good to highlight the resilience of the human spirit.

At the end of the day it isn’t how we started, it’s how we finished.

Finish well.

There are many things that pull for my attention:

Son

Husband

Father

Employee

Worship Leader

Writer

Brother

Entrepreneur

Friend

Mentor

Painter

Musician

Mechanic

Landscaper

Carpenter

To name a few.

There is only one of me on this side of the rope and the odds of me winning against that list looks impossible.

Over the next few days I will just let go of the rope of the ones that aren’t critical to engage fully with the ones that are.

My hands are pretty full right now anyway being a Son, Husband, Father, Employee and Worship Leader.

Some things need both hands.

The other stuff can wait.

Emily turns two today. We are celebrating her birthday tomorrow afternoon since big sister "Dorothy" has dress rehearsal for the Regent University Summer Camp production of the Wiz tonight.

Seems like yesterday Emily was just learning to talk and now she is telling us what to do on a regular basis.

Emily has her Daddy figured out pretty well.

Apparently I say the same thing every time I record her so it really should come as no surprise she tells me what to say next.
