I know everyone thinks their kid is smart but mine leaves little room for doubt. She will be three in August and we are seriously considering homeschooling her next year.

She will sit for hours and “read” books from memory and correct us if we get the words wrong trying to speed up the bedtime routine.

The other day she wanted Mom to count in Spanish and can recite 1-10 almost perfectly.

I don’t like to brag, but I think this little girl is kind of great. :)

I love church productions with kids.

As a worship leader, having kids in the congregation is the best way to help us more mature kids remember the childlike faith required to enter the Kingdom. We have a young church full of young parents so Christmas time is even more enjoyable.

For most kids.

I left early to play on the worship team so Emily did not see me at all before she went to church. You can clearly see here the joy on her face when seeing Mommy and Daddy sitting on the front row.

You can also clearly see the great offense that happened as she was unceremoniously shooed away from her world.

By the time Emily was up to the front the lip was quivering and the tears began to run. It wasn’t long before Mom had to swoop in for the rescue.

The girl has her priorities right.

Two year olds are a never ending source of entertainment.

And laundry.

And clutter.

And sleepless nights.

Emily has been learning her nursery songs. She has a unique way of saying L, M, N, O, P, a way I think I will adopt because moving your tongue back in forth is much easier than enunciating all those constants and vowel.
